Fostering

Doggie Day Out
Give a shelter dog a break and some much-needed fun with our Doggie Day Out program! Approved volunteers can pick up a dog for a few hours, a full day, or even a weekend—taking them on adventures like a trip to the park, a car ride, or a stop for a pup cup. This program provides our dogs with enrichment, exercise, and socialization while giving you a rewarding experience with a furry friend. Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy or a cozy couch companion, Doggie Day Out is a great way to make a difference—one tail wag at a time!
Exercise Dogs
Help brighten a shelter dog’s day by volunteering for Play Yard Pals! Approved volunteers can visit the shelter to take dogs out to our play yard, giving them much-needed exercise, love, and a break from their kennel. Whether you’re tossing a ball, giving belly rubs, or just sitting with a dog who needs some comfort, your time makes a huge difference in their happiness and well-being. This is a fun and rewarding way to help socialize our dogs and prepare them for their forever homes—all while enjoying some tail wags and puppy kisses!
Adoption Events
Join us in making a difference by volunteering at our adoption events throughout the year! As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in helping our shelter dogs find loving homes by handling dogs, answering questions from potential adopters, and assisting with receiving donations.
